Notice at collection
MagStone Law, LLP uses the information described below to operate this website and respond to your requests. Optional analytics is off until you affirmatively allow it. Declining analytics does not prevent access to this website, contact forms, or newsletter subscriptions.
| Information and source | Purpose and recipients | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Contact information you submit: name, email, optional phone/company, inquiry topic and message. | Respond to your inquiry and maintain appropriate records. Received by the firm, hosting providers and Mailgun email delivery. | As needed to handle your inquiry and applicable legal, professional and recordkeeping obligations. Do not send confidential or sensitive details through the public form; contact us for a suitable channel. |
| Newsletter email address, subscription choice and confirmation status, supplied by you. | Send requested firm updates and manage confirmations and unsubscribe requests through Ghost and Mailgun. | While subscribed; limited suppression and transaction records may remain as needed to honor unsubscribes and applicable obligations. |
| Operational data automatically received by our hosting and security systems: network IP, request path, time, browser information and error/security events. | Deliver pages, secure the website, prevent abuse and diagnose errors. Processed by hosting and technical service providers. | For operational and security needs and applicable legal obligations. This is separate from optional analytics; rejecting analytics does not prevent the network processing necessary to deliver a page. |
| Only if you allow optional analytics: partner campaign labels, page paths, random event/tab-session identifiers, event times and consent version/time; email/phone link clicks, accepted inquiries and newsletter confirmation requests. | Measure partner referral performance through the firm's own website services. Partner reporting provides aggregate totals rather than inquiry contents or subscriber email addresses. Browsing history is not attached to newsletter identities. | Campaign source: 24 hours. Tab-session identifier: renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity and normally removed on closing the tab. Event journals: 90 UTC calendar days. |
| Your privacy choice and its time/version, stored in this browser without a unique advertising identifier. | Remember and enforce your choice on this website. | Permission: up to 180 days. Rejection: up to 400 days. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice. |
Cookies, browser storage and third-party tracking
The website uses necessary storage for preferences and, when requested, account or security functions. Optional analytics uses first-party browser storage only after permission. These controls do not enable Google Analytics, Google Ads, DoubleClick, advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral advertising, or third-party tracking pixels. Fonts and the website's required user-interface scripts are served from this website.
Earlier versions of this website used Google Analytics and sent page URLs, browser/device information and client/session identifiers to Google. The current controls stop that collection; they do not erase information already received by a provider. Contact us about prior collection or a request concerning your information.
External links, including LinkedIn and email links, lead to other services when you choose to follow them. Their information practices apply to your use of those services.
Your privacy choices / Do not sell or share
to allow or reject optional analytics. You can withdraw permission with the footer's “Turn off optional analytics” button. Closing preferences or continuing to browse is not consent. We do not condition access on analytics permission.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT: 1) by disabling optional analytics, including when this browser previously allowed it. While the signal is active we do not ask you to override it. A browser choice applies to this browser/site storage; use the controls or contact us for other browsers, devices or information associated with your account.
The website's measurement tools do not sell personal information or enable cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising or profiling for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. You may also send us a request not to sell or share personal information or to limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
Access, correction, deletion and other requests
You may ask to know whether and how we process your information; access categories and specific information; correct inaccuracies; delete information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale/sharing, targeted advertising and qualifying profiling; or limit sensitive information use, as applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Send requests to info@magstonelaw.com or use our contact form. Describe your request and the email address or other information needed to locate your records. You do not need to create an account. We may request proportionate verification for access, correction or deletion, but do not require identity verification to apply this browser's analytics rejection. An authorized agent may submit a request; we may need to confirm their authority and, where legally required, your identity.
Where applicable, we acknowledge access/correction/deletion requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If a permitted extension is needed, we explain it within the initial period; the extension will not exceed another 45 days. Browser analytics opt-outs take effect immediately for new events. Other sale/sharing opt-outs are handled as soon as feasible and within applicable legal deadlines, including 15 business days where required.
California rights may arise under the CCPA/CPRA; their scope depends on the law's applicability and exceptions. California's online privacy notice requirements also address our disclosures and response to tracking signals. New Jersey residents may appeal a denied privacy request by emailing the same address with “Privacy appeal.” We will provide a written decision within 45 days and, if denied, information on contacting the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. New York visitors receive the same website choices. Applicable legal and professional duties may require us to retain certain records or limit a request; we explain relevant reasons.
Sensitive information and children
Please do not submit government identifiers, payment credentials, medical details, precise location or other sensitive/confidential information through the public form. We do not need those details for an initial inquiry. This website is intended for adults seeking legal/business information, not children. If you believe information from a child has been collected, contact us so we can restrict processing and address deletion or other requirements, subject to applicable law. A general analytics permission is not parental consent.
Security, service providers and changes
We use reasonable safeguards, restrict access to appropriate personnel and service providers, and consider legal/professional obligations when retaining information. Information may be processed where we or our providers operate, including outside your state or country. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Submitting a form does not by itself establish an attorney-client relationship.
We post material changes here with a revised date and provide additional notice or request new permission where required. We review this notice at least annually. Changes to purposes do not expand a previously granted permission.
