Daniel Li is an experienced California real estate attorney. His practice areas include purchase and sale of commercial real estate (e.g., office building, R&D campus, manufacturing facility, warehouse, hotel, golf course, drug store, restaurant, gas station, school, and vacant land), leasing of commercial real estate (e.g., office and retail), real estate development (e.g., condo, SFR, mixed use, and hotel), purchase and sale of luxury residence, and real estate dispute resolution (purchase contract, construction contract, landlord-tenant, real estate fraud, title dispute, boundary dispute, and broker liability).
His clients include real estate investors, developers, owners, landlords, tenants, lenders, borrowers, brokers, contractors, etc. He represents public companies and family-owned businesses; foreign corporations and local individuals; and new immigrants who cannot speak English and a scientist who is a Nobel laureate.
He received his LL.B. from Peking University and passed the National Bar Exam in 1996 with the highest score in Wuxi, Jiangsu. He was a teacher in Jiangnan University and a lawyer in Beijing before he moved to the United States. He received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and was admitted to practice law in California in 2003. He studied law at UC Berkeley for one year.
He was selected by Super Lawyers magazine to Rising Stars in the category of real estate attorney. He is a member of Urban Land Institute. He is a director of Chinese American Lawyers of the Bay Area. He is also a real estate broker and a member of Top Agent Network.
