Mr. Berry has extensive experience representing the IRS in tax controversy, and experience representing the private sector in all facets of buy-side and sell-side M&A and corporate transactional matters. Mr. Berry routinely advises investors and startup enterprises from formation through acquisition in matters including venture capital financing, operational compliance, joint ventures, mergers & acquisition and technology development.
Prior to joining MagStone Law, Mr. Berry Worked as a manager in KPMG's mergers and acquisitions practice in Santa Clara, CA, and previously as a senior trial attorney for the IRS Office Of Chief Counsel in its San Francisco, CA and Laguna Niguel, CA offices. Mr. Berry received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law, his J.D. from Lewis And Clark Law School, and his B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Oregon.
Mr. Berry is admitted to practice in California and the United States tax court.
